Kimber and Ed are awesome. My parents were hoarders and we needed to clean up the house and get it sold. We're talking about almost 50 years of stuff and neglect. A family member wanted me to go with a cheaper estimate, but after seeing how things played out, I'm confident they wouldn't have been ANY cheaper in the end because they missed a lot of things in their estimate that Kimber and Ed put in theirs. I also loved the fact that Kimber is female because I felt like she cared about a lot of things that perhaps a guy wouldn't have. She not only has her contractor's license (and Ed as well), she graduated with her interior design degree from IDI, one of the top design schools in the country.

So she was incredibly helpful about the aesthetic side of the job, not just the construction side. She's great at communicating what is going on and lemme tell you, this house and job were full of surprises. Ed is an amazing builder and I saw some of the photos of his woodworking projects on other sites and they are artistry. Each time, Kimber and Ed helped me through any momentary freakout sessions and then we all buckle

down and just did what needed to be done. They are truly a power (tools--haha) couple!!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with OC Design & Build! We updated the exterior of our house including new paint, porch posts, gate, lighting, and backsplash for our BBQ. From our first consultation through the end of the project OC D&B was extremely fair and dependable. Their quote was competitive for the entire project and the work quality was top rate. They also gave good design advice. I'd gladly work with them for future projects and recommend them to anyone.

I had a second-story addition that I hired OC Design & Build to help me with. To be honest, I expected this project to be a tough one. However, Kimber and Ed made it super manageable and fun. I appreciated how straightforward and honest they were. They helped me execute the vision I had and helped me see things with fresh eyes.  I had some ideas that they truly brought to life.

It is with great pleasure that we are writing this review for OC Design & Build. They are a very professional and reliable company that does what they promise to the best of their abilities. We were selling our house in Garden Grove and had an agreement with a buyer to purchase our home with the closing date fast approaching. During one of the final inspections, it was noted that the shower pan in the master bathroom was leaking and in need of repair. The potential buyer asked that we fix it before the transfer of sale and that is when we reached out to OC Design & Build to contract them to fix the issue. Upon further inspection, they noticed that there was damage and wood rot underneath the shower pan and that it was in danger of completely failing and falling through the floor of our raised foundation house. We were on a tight schedule due to closing and they were very accommodating to help us meet that deadline. Upon agreement, they started work immediately and got started the very next day. After removing the shower pan, they noticed that the floor trusses were completely rotted and were about to fail. They made the necessary improvements, completely replacing the floor trusses for strength, fixing any water damage caused by the leaky shower pan, installed a new pan with all of the state-required elements for improving the shower, and all in a very timely manner. Then after the repair was completed, the finish work on the new tile they put in was amazing! I looked even better than before and both us and the new buyer were thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend OC Design & Build for any type of home improvement, remodel, or additions. They were easy to work with, professional and friendly, and worked non-stop to get our project fixed before our closing deadline.

We were so impressed with the quality of work and professionalism of the company that we decided to hire them to be the general contractor for our project. Throughout the process of planning and designing of our new home, they have continued with the professionalism and quality that they did on our bathroom project. Kimber and the team are awesome. Communication was AMAZING! They were even able to problem solve a lot of spacing and functionality issues we were having in our home and did an amazing job on our kitchen and great room remodels! They even put in the extra effort to get us a few discounts with the vendors they use, which is above and beyond what we expected. They worked around our busy work schedules, were considerate of all our neighbors, and even kept our house clean throughout the entire process! I would recommend them anytime.

We hired Kimber and Ed to remodel our bathroom and kitchen area.  We really had no idea where to start.  They made this important investment easy.  They designed our vision, handled all of the needed paperwork, and finished in a timeframe that well exceeded our expectations.  Mr. Ed is quite the carpenter and the disruption to our day-to-day life was minimal.  We highly recommend OC Design & Build!
